Artwork / Nature / New York

Doing watercolors of various landscape subjects in the Catskills, gradually lead me to work from specific sites as subjects. The first was Giggle Hollow, and then: Parkers Falls and Otter Falls, plus “Tom’s” Falls in the Adirondacks. Painting at these sites was leading me to zero in on water in the landscape as a subject and finally, its “flow” as an abstraction of movement around and in and out of the picture plane—the subject of the “Nature Into Abstraction” paintings.
